Environment

Even though Segal bikes are manufactured in Israel, Segal voluntarily adheres to the strict environmental laws of the European Union.  

We cannot stand air and water pollution, 4X4 traffic or its tracks on the dirt, garbage in beautiful spots and plants and animals becoming extinct.  We, the riders, must work together to guard our fragile planet. Here in SHL-ALUBIN and SEGALBIKES we make true efforts to do just that. In the last year enormous amounts of money were invested in various recycling projects. We now recycle water from our fabrication lines, dirt from our anodize lines and have dramatically reduced air pollution through state of the art filters. The company has been recycling aluminium in the last 35 years.  We work hard to make bike riding safe and joyous, together with the Israeli bicycle association.

Technology 

The frame is magnesium and is approximately 1150 grams (even lighter if you ride a small frame like me).  The fork is 360 grams uncut (I circumcised mine and now it is only 320 grams).  Magnesium combines the lightness of carbon with the stiffness and durability of aluminum.  If you think this frame and fork are expensive, check out the Pinarello Dogma and you'll see that it is very reasonably priced.  For you nerds out there, the magnesium is ZM21-F.

Trade-ins

Oy Velo would love to see Israeli bikes throughout the United States.  Therefore, we will work with you to finalize your purchase.  Oy Velo will take trade-ins based on ebay blue book value.  Basically, you send your bike or frame to Oy Velo,  Oy Velo will sell it on ebay and reduce the cost of your frame by that amount.

Complete Bikes

If you would like the components of your current frame moved to the Segal frame, Oy Velo will handle the labor free of charge.  If you would like to purchase a complete bike, Oy Velo will customize your bike with a Shimano, Campagnolo or SRAM drivetrain and the components of your choice.  Please contact Oy Velo today for a quote. 

These frames are the 5768 models (2008 in Goy years).  They were actually manufactured just a few weeks ago in Israel. 

The paint is pearlized and shimmers in the light. 

The frame from both sides is above.  These frames also come in white/red and black/gray.
