Behold. . .the final jersey design:
Above is the front of the jersey and below is the back. You'll probably have to zoom in to read it. Don't worry about the pink and blue lines. They just indicate how much cloth will surround the pictures on the male and female jerseys of different sizes. The picture on the right is what the jerseys will look like. A description of the jersey is below. You may pre-order your jersey today to guarantee your size. Keep in mind the jersey is race cut. The jerseys will be available on September 7, 2008. If you have a hard time seeing the jersey, I'll send you an email with a pdf attachment of the jersey.

Below is a description of the items depicted on the Oy Velo Jersey:
JERSEY (FRONT):
Segal Bikes:
The bike everyone needs to buy immediately. Visit www.segalbikesus.com for more info.
Louis Garneau:
The cycling company that put up with me and my 45 changes in art design over the past few weeks. It was worth it because they made a damn good looking jersey!
For The Chosen Cyclist:
This jersey is designed for each of you.
Let my people ride:
Moses contributed this to the jersey design.
He'Brew Beer:
Yes, this is for real. Schmaltz Brewing Company has been brewing with Chutzpah for over 20 years, L'Chaim! Some sample flavors: Genesis Ale, Messiah Bold, Jewbelation Eleven, and the all new Rejewvinator. Hopefully, Oy Velo and He'Brew will work together more in the future.
Have a schvitz - Go Cycling!
Seriously, get up and go ride (after you buy a Segal Bike and Oy Velo Jersey)
The greatest Jewish cycling website in the world.
JERSEY (SIDES OF TORSO):
The 1972 Israeli Olympic Team:
I tried to keep everything light and humorous. However, I really wanted to honor the Israeli athletes that died at the Munich Olympics. Their names are on the jersey as a tribute.
Moshe Weinberg (wrestling coach)
Yossef Romano (weightlifter)
Ze'ev Friedman (weightlifter)
David Berger (weightlifter)
Yakov Springer (weightlifting judge)
Eliezer Halfin (wrestler)
Yossef Gutfreund (wrestling referee)

JERSEY (COLLAR):
Save the Earth - Recycle
Here's a few specific suggestions:
Ride your bike instead of driving if possible; recycle your He'Brew beer bottles; bring your own grocery bags to the store instead of using paper or plastic bags; buy an eco-friendly Segal Bike; hydrate without buying a plastic water bottle every 30 minutes.
These are good suggestions, in spite of my clever product placement.
JERSEY (SLEEVES):
Star of David
Yellow stripes on sleeves
JERSEY (BACK):
Jews for Drafting:
The name of the cult you have joined. Now drink He'Brew Beer and do everything I say.

The Hazon organization is focused on raising money for over 30 different charities by organizing a weekend bicycle ride in Israel and New York every year. In 2007, the New York ride alone raised over $350,000.
The 2008 New York ride takes place over Labor Day Weekend. Oy Velo would love to organize a team, so contact me if you are interested.
Team Everest is a cycling team in Boston that raises approximately $100,000 a year to help the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Team Everest is headed by Adam Brodsky, a 47 year-old Cat 4 racer (road and cyclocross), who has raised over $500,000 for the National MS Society via Team Everest. In addition to being an avid cyclist, environmental lawyer and father of two young children, Adam is on the Board of Directors of the Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society. Adam's wife, Athena, has a very severe and progressive form of MS. Visit Team Everest's website for more information about how to help the fight against MS.
Cohen & Grieb P.A. is my dad's CPA firm. On the one hand, he's 60 years-old and should be increasing his cycling regimen rather than client base. On the other hand, my mother and I tend to split his income 40/60, so a bit of extra exposure couldn't hurt. This advertisement is a demonstration of nepotism at its finest. Thanks for everything mom and dad!
